Ranks
A player's rank tells you how far a person has progressed in the game. A higher rank makes it easier to earn money and harder to kill the user account.
Every time you increase your rank, you will get access to a new option on Crime which gives you more money in addition to what you see in the table below.

Money ranks
A player's money rank shows you how much money a person has. A person with a high money rank might not have money easily available to use as it might be invested.
Money from the hand, the bank, purchase offers on e-pay, and money that can be withdrawn from assets are used to calculate the money rank.
