Mafia Feud takes your privacy seriously and wants you to fully understand how we collect, use and secure your data.

Information we collect and what it is used for

We only collect information if we have a reason for it. For example, we always log IP addresses to improve the detection of people who break the game's rules by having multiple living user accounts.

The information collected can be divided into three groups. Information we automatically collect during use, the information we only collect when using specific functionality, and information you choose to publish or share on the game.

Information we automatically collect during the use of the service

To reduce cheating as described in the terms, we always collect basic information about your game usage. We use this information to improve play and prevent cheating.

List of information collected

  • IP addresses.
  • Information about your device and software.
  • Information about the use of the game as well as how and when the use took place.

Examples of use

  • Detect people who cheat by having multiple user accounts.
  • Improve the security of sales.
  • Improving the game based on data about the device, software, and the use of the game.

Information we collect when using specific functionality

When using some functions, we need to collect additional information to prevent cheating and abuse and to be able to deliver the functionality you want.

List of information that may be collected

  • Name
  • Address
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number

Examples of use

  • Name, address, and contact information are in some situations needed to complete purchases.
  • Phone numbers are not used or collected now but might be used in the future for account verification to avoid multiple accounts per user.
  • E-mail addresses are used if you verify your account, want to sign up for a newsletter or if you want to be able to change your password if you forget it.
  • Targeted ads from the game using, e.g., Facebook or Google display network.

Information you choose to share or publish

You are free to choose whether you want to provide much of the information we store that contains or may contain personal data.

List of information that may be collected

  • Content of messages you send or publish on the game.
  • Content of posts you post on the forum.
  • Content you publish on your profile.

Examples of use

  • To be able to deliver the content.
  • Find out if a player is not following the Terms – if there is any suspicion.

Data retention

We will store information for as long as we consider it necessary to prevent cheating in the game, misuse of payment solutions, or document sales.

We automatically delete messages/conversations between users within 30 days from when the conversation was last active.

Right to access, rectification, erasure, and portability

You have the right to access the personal data we store about you and correct, delete, and move/export this information where possible.

Complaint about treatment

You have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority about processing that breaches the applicable rules. You can also complain to us at [email protected] if there is something you are not satisfied with when it comes to privacy or data processing.

Sharing of information

Providers of services that the game uses can sometimes receive, send, store or process personal data or other information.

We also share information if the law requires us to do so or we believe in good faith it is necessary to prevent, detect or address fraud, unauthorized use, violations of our terms or policies, or other harmful or illegal activity to protect ourselves (including our rights), you or others.

Google

Google Analytics is used to collect information about usage patterns and to target advertisements. This information includes cookies, anonymized IP addresses, and information about your device and software. You can read more about how Google processes data here.

Paddle

Paddle is a merchant of record(reseller) that sells points for the game. We might, in some situations, share data with Paddle to, e.g., improve your checkout experience or fight fraud. You can read more about how Paddle processes data here.

The basis for processing information

We process, use, and share the information we have in the ways described above:

  • to comply with our legal obligations;
  • in accordance with your agreement which you may withdraw at any time;
  • to protect your interests;
  • to protect our interests in delivering and further developing a user-friendly, safe, fair, and engaging game, unless your interests or fundamental rights override this.
